Metem CouCou™ 

This signature program blends education and experience, using food as both a lens and a bridge to spark conversation about how interconnected we are and how culinary traditions link our global stories.

Through immersive workshops, cooking classes, and curated travel experiences, Metem CouCou™  celebrates the flavors that unite us while supporting local chefs, farmers, and heritage food initiatives across the diaspora.

Black Girl Retreat ™

This experience is an intentional invitation to slow down and exhale. Designed for Black women in particular, this experience blends wellness, community, and cultural connection in restorative settings that encourage stillness and reflection.

From one-day to multi-day gatherings, Black Girl Retreat™ creates space to rest deeply, laugh loudly, and connect with women who just get it. Guided by trusted practitioners and partners who understand the power of care and community, each retreat reminds you that it’s okay to pause—and essential to pour back into yourself.

Private membership for individuals who want ongoing, personalized planning and dedicated support. We design experiences that feel personal, seamless, and unforgettable, from finding the perfect location to ensuring every detail is in place. A: Our hosted programs are signature group experiences created and led by our team.  Our two programs are Metem CouCou™, which explores the foodways that connect us, and Black Girl Retreat™, a restorative space for Black women to rest, reflect, and reconnect.

Q: Why do you operate through a membership model?
A: We’re a small but mighty team, and our membership program ensures that clients who are committed to working with us receive the time, focus, and expertise required to design extraordinary travel and celebration experiences. Membership allows us to plan intentionally while maintaining the quality and personal attention our clients deserve. Members also enjoy dedicated planning, destination insights, and priority access to our signature experiences.

Q: Do you work with hotels, venues, or brands?

A: Yes. We collaborate with hotels, villas, tourism boards, and lifestyle brands to design group experiences, hosted stays, and brand activations. We lead the planning and creative direction while working closely with trusted providers on the ground.

Q: Can you help me plan my dream trip?    

A: Absolutely. Whether you know exactly what you want or need help shaping your vision, we’ll guide the process and handle the logistics, so the experience feels seamless from start to finish.

Q: What’s the difference between a Travel Advisor, Planner, and Director?    

A: Advisors and Planners (or Designers) focus on designing, coordinating, and managing the details of your travel experience. A Travel Director provides elevated oversight for complex itineraries and destination celebrations. They oversee on-the-ground delivery, manage real-time logistics and vendor teams, and ensure that every element of the guest experience runs smoothly. Directors are often present on-site for select journeys or events to provide seamless, personal coordination.

Q: What are the benefits of booking with you when it’s so easy to book online?
A: Working with us means having a trusted partner who understands your preferences, priorities, and travel style. While online platforms can book a room or flight, we design cohesive experiences, ensuring that every element, from accommodations and dining to cultural encounters and logistics, works together seamlessly. You’ll gain access to trusted partners, exclusive perks, and on-the-ground support, along with the peace of mind that every detail has been thoughtfully planned and personally overseen.

Q: What fees can I expect to use your service? 

A:  Our travel planning services are available exclusively through membership. Planning and coordination are included for Live La Vie members, while Live It Inner Circle members receive one complimentary planning session per year for travel confirmed at least twelve months in advance.

Design fees may apply for private experiences or special requests outside of membership coverage. These fees reflect the time, research, and care invested in creating a fully customized travel experience and include support before, during, and after travel.

Q: Is there a minimum budget requirement for your services? 

A: Our minimum daily spending requirement for private experiences is $2,000 per person. We specialize in creating quality experiences that typically involve 5-star accommodations, top-tier private guides, and private activities. 

Q: How involved do I need to be in the planning process?
A: For hosted travel experiences, we will take care of all the planning process for you. But, for private experiences, it is completely up to you what level of involvement you want to have. Whether you want us to take care of everything or be involved in every step of the process, our aim is to make travel planning stress-free and enjoyable for you.
